T&T's 6th Annual
Health Research Conference
The Faculty of Medical Sciences & Caribbean Centre for Health Systems Research and Development, The University of the West Indies; The University of Trinidad and Tobago; The University of the Southern Caribbean; the Regional Health Authorities; Ministry of Health; Tobago House of Assembly; and the Trinidad and Tobago National Nursing Association collaborated to host the 2025 National Health Research Conference (NHRC) on Tuesday 25th November 2025.

Main Objectives

To share research findings with key stakeholders (care providers, Ministries, Regional Health Authorities, academic institutions, general public, etc.)

To strengthen the national health research culture.

Dr Daniel Buss will be joining us virtually to deliver the Feature Presentation during the Opening Ceremony of the National Health Research Conference.
2025 LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARDEE
The Research for Health Lifetime Achievement Award honours a distinguished researcher with at least 20 years of impactful contributions to high-quality health research or research capacity development, whose work has strengthened health outcomes nationally, regionally, or internationally.
This year, the award is presented to Professor Sandra Reid, a consultant psychiatrist and Professor of Public Health Psychiatry at The University of the West Indies with over 30 years of clinical experience.
