  1. To identify/describe the main online tools and platforms that can be used for research during a pandemic

  2. To explore the function/purpose of the selected online platforms used in research

  3. To investigate the applicability of online platforms in research

  4. To explore the advantages and disadvantages of using online platforms in research

  5. To determine the ethical principles affected by the use of online platforms and to explore means by which ethical principles can be preserved when using online platforms

  6. To determine the best methods of obtaining informed consent on an online platform

  7. To determine the most effective way of conducting a hybrid study, to ensure standardization of data collection and storage

  8. To outline security measures to protect online research data
